As its definition suggests, the ILTOF Project focuses on learning activities related to structural integrity, analysing failure and fracture mechanics issues, particularly important for civil and mechanical engineering.

The project can count on a European Network pursuing the same objectives: knowledge improvement and dissemination through innovative methods and the creation of a common platform where to gather documentation and materials to be shared and implemented. The distinguishing mark of the project is its collaborative nature, coherently with the “Leonardo da Vinci” mission and the Internet will be the privileged communication means.

Especially addressed to engineers, technicians and managers, the project is expected to set up interactive materials and publications, to be used also by students and disseminated through the improve.it portal, printed documents and a CDROM.
